Trezor Bridge Quickstart — Setup in Minutes

Follow this simple guide to install the Bridge and connect your Trezor to desktop web apps safely.

Step 1 — Download from official source

Only use the official Trezor download page. Choose the installer for your OS (Windows, macOS, Linux). Do not run installers from unknown mirrors; verify signatures where provided.

Step 2 — Install

Run the installer and follow the prompts. On some platforms you'll need to accept a system prompt to allow the small background helper to run. This helper only enumerates devices and forwards approved requests to your Trezor device.

Step 3 — Connect your Trezor

Use the provided USB cable and connect your Trezor. Open the official Suite or a supported web app and choose to connect a hardware wallet. The bridge will allow the browser to find the device and initiate the usual on-device confirmations.

Step 4 — Verify and use

When a transaction or signature request appears, the device will show the details. Verify amounts, addresses, and any relevant metadata before confirming. Always ensure the displayed information matches what you expected.

Troubleshooting

If the device isn't detected, try these steps: reboot your computer, try a different USB port/cable, check that Bridge is running (system tray or background services), and consult official docs. Avoid using multiple conflicting wallet helpers simultaneously.

Security reminder: The bridge does not hold your recovery seed. Keep your seed offline and never enter it into a browser or software other than the official device recovery UI.
